IF YOU ALREADY EARNED AN ASSOCIATES IN SCIENCE IN NURSING AND ARE AN RN:
In the degree exploration system used by the Higher Education Resource Center (HERC), DegreeQuest, we have hundreds of accredited colleges and universities offering thousands of degrees that can be completed at a distance, anytime, anywhere.  These include numerous Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs of study that can be earned at a distance for those who are already a Registered Nurse (RN).  If you fit this description, e-mail your unofficial transcripts to us at MEP-support@degreequickly.net and we will show you how the credit you earned from your ASN could apply toward completion of a BSN degree. (Note: When you graduate with your BSN, be sure to come back to HERC to explore MSN degrees, as well.)

IF YOU ARE AN LPN, LVN, PARAMEDIC OR AN ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY MEDIC AND DESIRE TO BECOME AN RN:
We only know of a few programs in the nation that is accredited to offer a degree at a distance in Nursing in which graduates typically become RNs in the state in which they reside – Excelsior College (visit their website at www.excelsior.edu/programs/nursing/nursing-associate-degree), Indiana State University (visit their website at https://www.indstate.edu/health/department/bnc), and Western Governors University (https://www.wgu.edu/online-nursing-health-degrees/rn-to-bsn-nursing-bachelors-program.html). However, admission into these program of study is restricted to those in select medical professions: Because you are an LPN, LVN, or, in some cases, a Paramedic or an active duty military medic (in an occupation that has an equivalent scope of practice to an LPN/LVN or paramedic), you work in an environment in which you will be able to apply the theoretical knowledge that you gain in a clinical, supervised environment. Although this degree is available at a distance, students are required to demonstrate their clinical competence in person at select sites for these universities. (Check to see if your state has approved participation in these programs of study, as it varies across the nation.)

Being an LPN. LVN, Paramedic or an active duty military medic does not guarantee success in these programs.  HERC recommends that you consider RN Nursing Prep (https://rnnursingprep.com/) as a pathway to achieve the theoretical aspects and earn credit toward completion of this degree, culminating with the practical clinical examination through the college or university. This can save students a considerable amount of time and money. (Note: Although this alternative is not endorsed by the college, that is understandable, as it is in their best interest to have students paying their tuition, rather than challenging their institutional examinations for the credit.)

IF YOU ARE NOT AN LPN, LVN, PARAMEDIC OR AN ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY MEDIC:
As we pointed out above, in order to pursue a BSN, you must fall into one of these occupational categories.  If you work in a medical facility in another capacity, we have numerous Health Services Administration degrees, as well as degrees in more than a hundred other majors from hundreds of accredited colleges and universities for you to consider. Let us know if we can be of further assistance.
